Namibia is a country of contrasts framed by two mystical deserts the
Namib to the west and the Kalahari in eats. A visit to Namibia is a
'total' experience - larger than real life
- a magical and captivating destination.
The ancient San tribes called it "the land God made in anger".
Modern Namibia is named
after the 80-million-year-old Namib Desert, one of the driest places
on earth. The
ancient fire-coloured dunes span the entire Atlantic coast, covering
the 800 mile-long Skeleton Coast. Standing amongst the world's highest
dunes, surrounded by a rippling sea of red and golden waves of sand,
will be an experience etched on your mind forever. Visiting the Skeleton
Coast has to be one of the best Safaris in Africa.
The
distances in Namibia are vast so we prefer to fly guests from camp to
camp. Overland Safaris and driving need 10 days or more to be truly
enjoyed!
Keep in mind that the Okavango and Victoria Falls are only just next
door and many people combine a Namibian Safari with A Botswana or Zimbabwe
Safari.
Rest
assured whichever of our itineraries you take there will always be a
smiling friendly face to greet you!
Our Safaris in Namibia
are, due to the distances
and accessibility mostly 'fly-in' safaris or overland safaris with fixed
departures and origins. However, we also offer self-drive holiday packages,
start and end Windhoek.
