Kenya VISA & immigration

Except for citizens holding passports from some African countries (see list)
almost ALL nationalities require a VISA to visit Kenya

VISAs are routinely issued for a single entry and for a 3 month duration
.
If you think you may enter - exit and re-enter Kenya, for example on a Safari to Tanzania or Uganda
ensure you apply for a multiple entry VISA. There is a fee.
The easiest way is to ask a local travel agent for advice!

You can apply in advance (recommended) or a visa can be obtained (by most but not all nationalities)
on entry at Nairobi (at the point of immigration) but you must have the following:

      • A valid passport with at least one unused page for endorsement. It should be valid for at least three months at the date of entry to Kenya.
      • A completed Visa application form (V1).
      • One recent passport size photo.
      • Travel itinerary or business letter.

If your country of residence is NOT LISTED
we suggest that you contact a local travel agent with experience in international travel - the large companies send clients to Kenya on a regular basis and they should have in place courier assisted services to help people apply for visas

You can apply to any Kenya Embassy, Consul or Commission - you do not need to apply in your home country.

Alternatively you might consider a Travel Document Service, for example TDS in the USA
