deposit payment deadline extended for 1 month
We have today (Sunday 27 January) had extensive discussion with our partners
in Nairobi during which it was agreed that the contracted deadline for
2nd deposit payment be delayed by 1 month - March 1st.
In practical terms, this means that all the advice regarding payment to our accounts prior to February 1 is now applicable to a date of prior to March 1st. This has been a difficult agreement to achieve but keeps the options open while the travel advisory is relaxed (that for the UK was further revised today).
Thus, payment of 2nd deposits should be forwarded to our account prior to March 1. In the interim, payments will not be forwarded to Nairobi. In the event that the travel advisory is generally relaxed to that which was in place prior to December 27 (i.e. the level immediately below that now advised by most countries), allowing travel to the Mara and environs, we will then send on the deposits. The suspended terms of the contract will reapply. Outside of this variation the lodges reserve the right to sell on rooms for which we can not provide the necessary guarantees.
Please note that Steve & Andre will be raveling to Nairobi and the Mara on March 25 for a personal assessment and meeting with all operators and providers involved in MARA 2008
