Terms and Conditions
special MARA 2008 itineraries

Reservations:
We can only hold confirmed provisional space for 7 days awaiting your confirmation of the safari. If provisional space is not confirmed within this period, space will be released. Once you confirm a safari, in order for us to hold the space, we require an immediate deposit of 25% of the total cost (invoices will be sent to you at this stage) - this deposit must be received within 14 days of confirmation. Failure may result in losing confirmed space. The deposit of 25% of the tour costs (2 pax rate) is required on booking and the balance not later than 90 days before the tour begins. Notwithstanding any prior confirmation arrangements, the right is reserved not to execute the tour if payment has not received in accordance with the foregoing.

*Number of Persons (private vehicle)
• For many itineraries the cost is dependent on the number of adult persons in the vehicle.
• There is an advantage in booking as group.
• The maximum number of passengers per vehcile is 6, thereby ensuring 'window seats' for all.
• Natural Events will assign delegates and their families/guests (in their booking groups) to vehicles such that where possible vehciles will have 6 the maximum passengers; and thereby the lowest cost per person.
• If you wish to have a vehcile for your group which is less than 6 passengers you must advise at the time of reservation.
• Natural Events will endeavour to publish the number of reservations made for each package so that delegates may be advised of the rate per person currently available (see cancellations).

Payment:
Will be possible by the same mechanisms as for the MARA 2008 conference; credit card, bank transfer or $US cheque - including the same processing fee structure

Prices:
Generally: All prices are based on cost prevailing at the time of publication of the price list. These can change without notice. However once a holiday has been paid for we will guarantee the price, unless it is subsequently affected by the Government action or other influence beyond the control of Natural Events or of their agents and representatives.
*Specifically in relation to the number of persons: The price decreases as the number of adult passengers per vehicle increase to 6. All deposits will be paid on a 2 pax basis (above) but we will endeavour to reduce costs as far as possible by loading 6 persons per vehcile These arrangements will be reflected by a reduction in your final payment Delegates/guest wishing to stipulate - by name - special arrangements in which vehicles will not be full must do so at the time of reservation.

Cancellations:
In the event of cancellations, notice of which must be given in writing, the deposit may be refunded minus the charges for reservations that have been processed, cancellation fees imposed by the hotels/lodges and transporters and any other relevant expenses. If a cancellation received within 90 days before commencement the tour begins a cancellation fee of 50% of the total land arrangements will be charged and a charge of 100% if cancellations made within 45 days of commencement* or July 13 which ever date is soonest. We require that you get full trip cancellation insurance.
*Specifically in relation to the number of persons: In the event that you cancel a reservation made by you at a rate reduced by booking in a vehicle with other passengers/guests we reserve the right to retain the difference in the rates if we are unable to 'refill that vehicle' and it is necessary to compensate the remaining passengers for that difference.
* These dates mean recieved within our office on a normal business day (GMT)

Service provision & responsibility for these itineraries:
These itineraries are offered for Natural Events by Nature Expeditions acting as agents and representatives of Natural Events. The responsibilities and liabilities associated with these packages is thus assumed by Nature Expeditions and limited by these terms and conditions

Rates
Included in the cost given is e vehicle and driver-guide, all Government hotel taxes, hotel services charges and game drives as applicable to the itinerary, all entry fees (except where these are specifically quoted separately) - accommodation in Nairobi is bed and breakfast and full board whilst on safari (unless specified differently in the itinerary). Not included are departure taxes, visas, gratuities (other than services charges), beverages, laundry and other such personal expenses.

Accommodation:
Wherever possible, we book rooms with private baths throughout on the basis of two persons sharing a double room. Single rooms are scarce and cannot be guaranteed and sometime may double up, where this occurs, an appropriate refund will be made direct to the client. Hotels, lodges and camps where mentioned, are named as an indication of category and rooms may be reserved at similar hotels, lodges and camps.

Transportations
Safari minivans or four wheel drive vehicles will be provided, according to the route and the number of participants. The right is reserved to employ the services of sub-contractors. English or other speaking driver-guides are provided.

The right is reserved to change any route or arrangement should conditions necessitate to offer substitutes of equal value or to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour. The right is also reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time, in which event an equitable amount will be refunded. NATURE EXPEDITIONS AFRICA LTD (as the agent for Natural Events) and its agents act only as the agent of the passenger in all matters relating to Accommodation, meals, tours and transportation of any type, and shall not be for inconvenience, omission of service, injury, delay, loss or damage from any case and in any manner howsoever, including weather, machinery breakdown, labour disputes, civil disturbances and government orders. Nature Expeditions Africa is insured against legal liabilities arising from injuries which may be incurred by passengers in its own vehicles, subject only to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia. With the uncertainties of today's world, we require that you get full comprehensive personal insurance for any and every eventuality.
