| Getting to Potchefstroom | |
O.R.Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport is our closest and largest international airport, and is serviced from most international hubs and by most international airlines on a daily basis. Potchefstroom is about 100 km (2 hours drive) south-west of Johannesburg and about 150 km from O.R. Tambo International. All car rental agencies operate from the Airport. You can also contact the organizers to arrange for a pick-up at the airport. The schematic map on the right shows the entry (and exit!) routes around Potchefstroom. It provides a link to the NWU web site, where a larger version can be accessed. Also check out Braby's Maps (click logo tot he right) for a map of Potchefstroom. If you enter "Meyer Street" and "Cachet", the map will be positioned to show the area surrounding the NWU campus. |

A high definition campus map can be downloaded from the NWU web site (http://www.puk.ac.za/puk/kampuskaart_e.html). The conference (registration desk, plenary, oral and poster sessions) will be held in the J. Chris Coetzee Building (E8 on campus map). When entering through the main gate (T2, in Hoffmann street), the J Chris Coetzee will be on your left hand side. Please park across the road (on your right). The Registration desk will be in the foyer of the J Chris Coetzee building in front of the main auditorium (Dawie DuP lecture Hall). |

| The social buzz | |
Meals (and associated liquids) may be enjoyed at any of about 20 restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and take-aways within walking distance of the venue. Cachet park can be found just outside the main gate to the campus (T2 on the campus map). Striking across Cachet Park and passing the Virgin Active on your right will take you to the Bult area. With its profusion of shops, eateries and drinkeries, it forms the hub of social life off campus. The park across from Tom Street is also the main grounds of the Aardklop arts festival. |
